Rewritten Ministries exists to create safe, Spirit-led spaces for women to encounter healing, identity, and hope in Christ. This ministry was born from lived experience — love, loss, and the hope that God is still at work in every story.

ANGIE'S STORY: HOPE & REDEMPTION

Rewritten Ministries was born out of deep love, deep loss, and deep hope.

Founder Angie knows both the beauty and heartbreak of motherhood. As a mother of four daughters, she walked closely with her oldest daughter, Sarah, through years of significant mental health challenges before experiencing the unimaginable loss of losing Sarah to suicide.

This is not a story Angie tells lightly.

She shares it because, even in the darkest places, she has encountered the faithfulness of God. Through grief, prayer, surrender, and the sustaining presence of Christ, Angie has experienced God gently rewriting her own story — not by erasing sorrow, but by meeting her within it with compassion, truth, and hope.

Angie believes with confidence that Sarah is fully healed and whole in the presence of Jesus. What once felt like an ending has become part of a greater story — one marked by the reality of Christ’s victory over death and the promise that no darkness is stronger than His love.

Rewritten exists because Angie has seen firsthand that God does not waste pain. He meets women in the middle of their stories and invites them into restoration, freedom, and deeper intimacy with Him.

Today, Rewritten Ministries creates space for women to come as they are — weary, grieving, searching, hopeful, or longing for more — and encounter the presence of Jesus. Through teaching, discipleship, retreats, testimony, and community, Rewritten encourages women to recognize God’s work in their lives, trust Him with their stories, and discover the hope found in Him.

For more than twenty-five years, Angie has served women through Bible study leadership, teaching, discipleship, and ministry alongside her husband. She has also spoken at Christian women’s conferences and faithfully walked with women through seasons of joy, suffering, healing, and growth. She is the author of "The Little Lost Shoe", a children's book about salvation. Angie holds a B.S. from the University of Tulsa and an M.S. from the University of Oklahoma. She lives in New Mexico with her family and is the grateful mother of four daughters and “Gigi” to her first granddaughter.

Above all, Angie’s heart is to help women encounter Jesus, behold His presence in their stories, and believe that He is still writing something beautiful — even in the places that feel broken.

Our Board of Directors serves with humility, discernment, and prayer. Together, they help guide Rewritten Ministries with integrity, wisdom, and faithfulness to God’s calling, ensuring the ministry remains rooted in truth and care.

Board President

Holly Blakey

Holly Blakey lives in Edmond, Oklahoma, with her husband, Bo, whom she has served alongside in ministry since 1994. Together they have three daughters, three sons-in-law, and three grandchildren, with hopes of welcoming more in the years ahead. Holly also serves in client relations and business development for a Christian financial services organization.

Through both ministry and professional experience, Holly has developed a deep love for encouraging and connecting with people. She believes Rewritten Ministries creates a meaningful space for women to recognize God’s presence in their lives, trust Him more fully, and discover His faithfulness in every circumstance.

In addition to years of involvement in church ministry, Holly has spent more than a decade working with nonprofit organizations. Her experience brings valuable insight to the board, particularly from the perspective of donor engagement, relationship building, and organizational support.

As a board member, Holly is passionate about helping women experience the goodness of God and feel encouraged in whatever season of life they may be walking through.

Secretary & Treasurer

Melissa Troup

Melissa Troup recently moved to Albuquerque, NM, with her husband, Matt, and their three dogs—Jubilee, Jasmine, and Remus. After homeschooling their four sons through high school graduation, Melissa retired in 2025 and now enjoys investing her time in Scripture, reading, and serving her church and community.

Before relocating to NM, Melissa served year-round with Operation Christmas Child in the Arkansas River Valley, where she enjoyed encouraging others to step into meaningful service opportunities. She also served on the Arvest Community Bank Board in Conway and volunteered as an Art Curator at Conway Regional Hospital, seeking opportunities to strengthen and beautify the community she calls home.

As Treasurer of Rewritten Ministries, Melissa feels honored to support a ministry that helps women recognize God’s presence in their stories and find the courage to share their testimony. She is passionate about helping women of every generation feel seen, known, and confident in the story God is writing in their lives.

Board Member

Elizabeth Barbieri-Banko

A native New Yorker, Elizabeth has spent much of her life moving across the country alongside her husband’s career, raising four children now ranging in age from 19 to 31. She currently resides in western Massachusetts and treasures time spent on her Colorado Belted Galloway ranch, where she finds rest and renewal.

Lifetime friendships and personal life experience ultimately led Elizabeth to Rewritten Ministries. She has a deep compassion for women navigating the many demands of professional life, marriage, and motherhood. Her faith has remained a steady foundation through life’s challenges and unexpected turns, shaping both her personal journey and her desire to serve others with grace and encouragement.

Professionally, Elizabeth utilized her master’s degree in Healthcare Administration in leadership roles supporting children and families, including work in pediatric rehabilitation and hospital administration. Serving women, children, and families—often during some of life’s most difficult moments—has long been central to her calling.

As a board member, Elizabeth hopes to support the long-term mission and sustainability of Rewritten Ministries by offering both strategic guidance and encouragement as women learn to see life’s hardships through the lens of God’s faithfulness.
